Newport Township is a township in Lake County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 4,142.[1] It includes the villages of Wadsworth, Old Mill Creek, Millburn, Russell, small portions of the Villages of Gurnee and Antioch, and a very small portion of the city of Zion.
